It was a great first day! We spent much time talking about rules and classroom procedures. We will continue to do this until we are all on the same page about my expectations of third grade.
Please remember to fill out all the emergency card information and return it was soon as possible. Please send a paint shirt and gym shoes too. It was VERY cold outside today and we were out twice, please make sure your child is ready to be outside with a warm enough jacket.
ASSIGNMENTS
Reading - We started slowly on the reading material and did some Read to Self from our Book Boxes. Ask you child about their Book Box.
Math - did some counting and estimation
Grammar - Question Mark worksheet
Social studies/Science - Read about watermelons - we are doing a watermelon mini unit this week. It will be tasty!!
HOMEWORK - Me in a Bag - students are to bring in three things(anything - a toy, book, pictures, game, stuffed animal...) in a bag that will help me learn something about them. Tomorrow we will talk about them.
Don't forget to send a snack every day and water bottles are only allowed during snack time.
